Ensure all agent-facing documentation (tool descriptions, docstrings, help text, and auto-enriched descriptions) is factually aligned with the actual implementation and is structured consistently.

Apply these rules:

1) Avoid over-promises about behavior

  • If a tool can only reconnect when the local handle is inactive (e.g., ibm_db.active()), don’t claim it re-checks server liveness in all failure modes.
  • If a method exists but isn’t wired into the runtime path, either document that plainly or remove the misleading interface implication.

2) Keep tool docs consistent with a standard structure Use a template like:

  • Title
  • Overview
  • Usage Requirements

  • Parameters

  • Response Structure

  • Usage Tips

  • Interpretation Best Practices

  • Security Considerations

3) Document exact semantics for “limits”, “truncation”, and “supported values”

  • Define what “first N” really means (e.g., “first 10 keys returned by S3, then resorted newest-first among those”).
  • Distinguish byte caps vs display truncation; ensure is_partial/flags match what the user sees.
  • If hints (like supported license types) are data-derived, either return the canonical fixed set or explicitly label the hint as “currently observed”.

4) When documentation is generated, test it

  • Add tests for doc-generation branches (e.g., requestBody formatting) and for example generation edge cases (e.g., $ref resolution), so the docs don’t silently degrade into placeholders like unknown_type.
