Repeat suppression

Do not re-raise what a human already dismissed.

How to build it

  1. Store each dismissed thread with its file path and the reason it was dismissed.
  2. Compare each new finding with stored threads using embedding similarity.
  3. Suppress the finding when a similar dismissed thread is above the similarity threshold.

Signals in a repository

  • A store of dismissed threads, such as a JSON file or memory database, in the review tooling.
  • A similarity threshold setting in the review configuration.

In practice

No scanned repository runs a tool for this check. The steps above are the only guidance.
